The Shrink Next Door, scored by Josh Moshier (Baskets), just wrapped and is set to premiere on Apple TV + November 12th!
“Inspired by true events and based on the 2019 podcast of the same name, “The Shrink Next Door” centers on the bizarre relationship between a psychiatrist to the stars, Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf, and his longterm patient, Martin “Marty” Markowitz. What starts as a normal doctor-patient dynamic slowly turns into the all-too-charming Ike (Paul Rudd) taking over patient Marty’s (Will Ferrell) life, from moving into Marty’s home to taking over his family business. The show is written by Georgia Pritchett (“Succession,” “Avenue 5”) and directed by Michael Showalter (“The Big Sick”). –Indiewire
Moshier’s sly score becomes darker and darker as the story devolves, still
allowing the audience to feel the absurdity and humor in the proceedings.
Moshier also recently completed Season 2 of Three Busy Debras on Adult Swim, and continues to score new episodes of Looney Tunes for Warner Bros. and HBO Max.
