Bruce Gilbert and Lauren Mikus are the music supervisors for Only Murders in the Building, which enjoys the distinction of being the most-watched premiere day for any comedy series in Hulu’s history.
Starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, Only Murders in the Building tells the story of three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth.
Vanity Fair describes the series as “killer fall comfort food”, further stating that “the genre of true crime thrives because it gives people a break from their own screwed-up lives. Only Murders in the Building offers a similar reprieve. A case must be cracked, a killer needs catching, hearts want healing, New York City in the fall deserves admiring. The only anxiety for the viewer is how long of a wait until Season 2.”
The very busy duo also enjoyed the recent debut of On the Verge, Julie Delpy’s Netflix series, as well as the upcoming debut of ROAR for Blossom Films and Apple TV+. New projects include Swimming With Sharks for Hulu, and the World Surf League series for Apple TV+.
