Funny Face, scored by Phil Mossman, is out now!
The film stars Cosmo Jarvis and Dela Meskienyar, and follows a young New Yorker who takes revenge under a masked persona after his grandparent’s home is destroyed by a greedy real estate developer. Slant Magazine describes the film as an “elliptical, thoughtful and sometimes darkly comic vision of a changing New York, writer-director Tim Sutton’s Funny Face takes the cliche of the isolated urban male antihero and turns it on its head.” Music City Drive In stated that “Phil Mossman’s score carries this film from start to finish. The score reminded me of a rock concert at times, and several times throughout, he drops the beat that leaves you in awe. I can’t wait to listen to this score on repeat.”
Funny Face made its official debut in the newly created Encounters section at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival, which seeks to highlight new voices in cinema and give more room to diverse narrative and documentary forms, and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime, Google Play, Vudu and Apple TV.
