Joshua Eustis is a Composer, Multi-Instrumentalist, Recording Artist, Songwriter, Record Producer, and Mixer. He’s been writing and performing music since the 1990s, better known as the electronic artist, Telefon Tel Aviv (Ghostly International).

With a renewed focus on film scoring, Joshua is currently co-scoring Merlin Camozzi’s indie-drama thriller, The Snare, with Sigur Rós’ music director/producer and fellow composer, Paul Corley. Most recently Joshua’s score credits include supporting Bobby Krlic on DC’s superhero franchise feature, Blue Beetle, and writing original music on Season 2 of the Simon Kinberg produced AppleTV+ sci-fi series, Invasion. Joshua’s introduction to scoring came care of the legendary writer, director, producer, John Hughes, who mentored Joshua’s early passion to score films. As producer, John and his sons John III and James Hughes brought Joshua and his late bandmate, Charlie Cooper, in to score their Touchstone Pictures drama feature, New Port South, which was directed by Kyle Cooper of Imaginary Forces, written by James, and starring Todd Field.

While architecting his early artist releases in the late 90s, Joshua’s musical profile pulled him in to the orbits of Trent Reznor and Maynard James Keenan as he became a writing and production collaborator of Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer; joining Nine Inch Nails as a touring member (guitar, keyboards, erhu, saxophone, marimba, percussion) on their 2013 world tour, Tension. Joshua spent most of the last twenty years producing, co-writing, mixing, and re-mixing countless artists including Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Deftones, Apparat, Drab Majesty, The Album Leaf, Tropic of Cancer and several others. Joshua’s artist works also include releases under the moniker Sons Of Magdalene, and as part of groups The Black Queen and Second Woman.

Originally from New Orleans, LA, Joshua studied Theory, Conducting, and Composition at Loyola University and was mentored by James P Walsh, Janna K Saslaw, and William Horne. While there Joshua further developed the orchestral foundations of Telefon Tel Aviv’s innovative arrangements and his unique blend of orchestral + analog textures central to the DNA of his film scores today.
