Bruce Gilbert and Lauren Marie Mikus are a dynamic music supervision team recently Emmy-nominated for their outstanding work on the Hulu hit series Only Murders in the Building. Their current slate includes the 20th Century Studios film The Bikeriders, directed by Jeff Nichols and starring Jody Comer, Austin Butler and Tom Hardy as well as the Netflix period farce, The Decameron, from producers Jenji Kohan and Kathleen Jordan, starring Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Tony Hale, and Zosia Mamet.

Lauren and Bruce are two-time Guild of Music Supervisors Awards winners for the Academy Award Best Picture Everything Everywhere All At Once. Bruce is also a four-time nominee for his work on Weeds, his transcendent work on Amazon’s breakout series Transparent and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black

Bruce is known for his groundbreaking music choices, which have made him among the most sought-after artists in his field. He got his start in motion picture advertising, helping launch campaigns for blockbusters like Men In BlackSpiderman and Charlie’s Angels, along with such indie sensations as Three Kings and Cyrus. Lauren cut her teeth in her hometown of Austin, Texas working in various roles with the iconic director Terence Malick on Tree of Life (Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain, Brad Pitt), Knight of Cups (Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman), Song To SongTo The Wonder, and Hidden Life. She has steadily grown her work in independent film, most notably on The Daniels’ previous film Swiss Army Man and Jeff Nichols’ Loving.

Bruce and Lauren’s recent projects include Emily The Criminal (directed by John Patton Ford and starring Aubrey Plaza), the Apple TV+ projects Hello Tomorrow! (starring Alison Pill, Hank Azaria, Billy Crudup) and ROAR (starring Nicole Kidman and Issa Rae), Tom Perrotta’s HBO limited series Mrs. Fletcher (Kathryn Hahn), and the IFC film Shirley, starring Elizabeth Moss, which earned its director Josephine Decker the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award at Sundance. Gilbert’s additional credits include the Emmy-winning Netflix comedy GLOW, Showtime’s Kidding (starring Jim Carrey), and Crashing, produced and directed by Judd Apatow for HBO.
