Alexandre Côté
Composer
Alexandre Côté is an Emmy award-winning composer and violinist known for fusing his classical roots with folk instruments and modern production, creating a bold yet familiar sound.
Individually and as a composer with Sparks & Shadows, Côté is best known for composing music to favorite pop culture franchises such as Disney+’s, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Paramount+’s Halo series, Activision’s Call Of Duty: Vanguard, and its subsequent Warzone expansion.
In addition, Côté has composed scores to feature films and television works, including Blumhouse’s Imaginary, Lifetime’s A Recipe For Joy, UPtv’s Fishing For Love, and Amazon’s Valentine’s Town. Other past projects include contributing additional music to projects for composers Bear McCreary, including Universal’s The Last Voyage of Demeter; Netflix’s The Witcher: Blood Origin and We Have A Ghost; and the third season of Apple TV’s See.
Previously, Côté served as executive producer and composer for game audio company Somatone Interactive, working on over 90 mobile titles across all genres. Highlights included original music for WB Games’ Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and Harry Potter: Wizard’s Unite.
Recently, Côté was selected as a fellow in the prestigious Composer Filmmaker Accelerator at the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), where he received mentorship from top executives and creatives in the scoring world. He was also selected as a fellow for the 2021 Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive.
A dual degree graduate from Berklee College Of Music, Côté graduated at the top of his class. His first career break came from working and studying under BAFTA-winning composer Abel Korzeniowski (Nocturnal Animals, The Nun, Till). When not composing, Côté enjoys archery and hiking. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
