Brian Reitzell – MARS

The second season of National Geographic’s MARS scored by Brian Reitzellpremieres Monday November 12.

MARS is produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, and is based on the book “How We’ll Live on Mars” by Stephen Petranek. The docudrama series offers a sci-fi dramatization of the experiences of the first astronauts to colonize Mars, combining scripted elements with documentary-style interviews that examine the reality of humanity’s chances of reaching and surviving on the red planet.

MARS also features interviews with experts including Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Elon Musk, and “The Martian” author Andy Weir.

Reitzell digs deep into his electronic resources mixing effects and drones with live instruments to create an unearthly atmosphere.  Click here to listen.
