Baskets scored by Joshua Moshier returns to FX for its second season!

Joshua’s highly individual music brings into focus the weirdness, humor and pathos that makes this series such a critical and popular hit. Click here for a few samples from the first episodes of Season 2.

The comedy stars Zach Galifianakis as a failed professional clown who returns to his hometown of Bakersfield, where he’s stuck with a job at the local rodeo while navigating the absurd drama of his dysfunctional family. The series is produced by Louis C.K., with Jonathan Krisel as show runner.

Vulture writes: “It’s the deftness with which Baskets handles these simultaneously cringeworthy, comic, and bittersweet disconnects — which almost always arise from a caring place — that make it one of TV’s most emotionally authentic shows about the way families get along.” The Daily Beast has a fantastic preview of the new season, along with an exclusive clip of the first episode.

Baskets airs Thursdays at 10pm. For more information, visit the official website.

Congratulations Fil Eisler, on the simply amazing debut season of Empire. The Fox show completed its first season this week and the numbers were staggering: 17.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the season finale. When the show debuted in January, it was watched by 9.9 million viewers. Empire proceeded to gain viewership every single week to the finale, a feat Nielsen stated was unmatched in their history of estimating viewership.

Fil’s score was an unexpected and brilliant counterpoint to the songs featured on the show – recorded by a full orchestra, it was full of heightened drama, with the occasional melding of hip-hop beats into the mix. Congratulations and continued success to Fil and to everyone involved in the making of Empire. We can’t wait for next season!
